About the Business Administration, Concentration in Marketing & Tourism Program
Our Business Administration associate’s degree program is aimed to prepare you for a marketing career in the tourism and hospitality industry.
Business and business administration are two of the most popular fields of study and for good reason. Business is an aspect of everyone’s job, so it’s important to have skills in order to hold one’s own in today’s economy. Marketing is a sizable aspect of business and tourism is a large industry ripe with many different career paths and possibilities.
Our Business Administration associate’s degree program is designed to prepare you for a marketing career in the tourism and hospitality industry. If your passion lies in hospitality, consider the Marketing and Tourism concentration the place to start your career.
In our program, you will learn practical business and leadership skills necessary to be successful starting your own business or working in someone else’s within the hospitality and tourism industry. Our Business Administration program’s curriculum is well rounded and will give you a taste for many aspects of business. Our caring instructors have real world experience that enhances your educational experience and with smaller class sizes, you will have more access to them for additional help. That will only be part of your experience in the associate’s degree program. You will also need to select a concentration, which will allow for increased specialization.
This concentration is geared toward preparing you for a career in the hospitality and tourism industry. You will be brought up to speed on industry practices and learn practical applications of management, marketing tools, social media, event promotion and more.
After graduation, you will be qualified for roles in career areas such as the following:

- Sport and Recreation Management
- Restaurant Management
One of the best parts about our Business Administration associate’s program is that an externship is a required component of the curriculum. That means you will leave Ohio Business College with some kind of real-world experience under your belt. With our alumni network and our ties to local employers, the options for externships are plentiful. Employers in northern Ohio actively seek out our business administration students to fill their extern roles. We offer career search and training for all programs.
