Business Administration: Human Resource Management
The world of business can be fast-paced, complex, and challenging – that’s why finding the perfect employee is more important than ever. Hiring a person who is comfortable in a business setting is a must, but if a prospective employee brings even more specialized skills to the table they can be that much more valuable. At Ohio Business College, we now offer degrees in Business Administration with a Concentration in Human Resource Management, giving graduates a broad business education as well as a narrower scope of specialized skills sought after by employers.
Today’s human resource professionals handle more than employee benefits, recruitment, interviews and hiring. They are also an integral part of a company’s strategic planning process. The Human Resource Management concentration from Ohio Business College educates students about the laws of employment processes and empowers them with the ability to apply these laws to employment-related decisions. The business courses will focus on interviewing techniques, employee relations, and compensation and benefits management, as well as policy writing and cultural diversity issues.
All Business Administration majors also participate in an externship during their final quarters of study. This experience provides an opportunity to gain valuable field experience.
